Bre Short is a Pittsburgh, PA based singer-songwriter whose haunting, vulnerable storytelling invites listeners to indulge in the mythic and the intimate parts of their imagination. Her charismatic, powerful live performances are fueled by her ethereal voice and playful piano arrangements with songs that would be comfortably at home on playlists with Laura Marling, Cat Power, Feist, Regina Spektor and Brandi Carlile. Her debut EP, “The Runner,” was released on October 18, 2024.

Bre is a resident music and movement artist at The Space Upstairs in Pittsburgh, PA and is currently a resident artist with SAXYN Dance Works, composing original music in collaboration with NYC based director and choreographer Thryn Saxon. Together, their work has been presented at Baryshnikov Arts Center in New York City, Windhover Center for Performing Arts in Rockport, MA, Kingsland Wildflowers in Brooklyn, NY curated by CreateArt, and RADFest Midwestern Dance Festival in Kalamazoo, MI.
