Bre Short is a Pittsburgh-based singer-songwriter and composer whose haunting, vulnerable storytelling invites listeners to explore the mythic and the intimate. Her ethereal voice and emotionally charged sound evoke comparisons to artists like Laura Marling, Cat Power, Feist, Regina Spektor, and Brandi Carlile. Her debut EP, The Runner (2024), offers a glimpse into her evocative musical world.
Bre is a resident artist with SAXYN Dance Works, composing original scores in collaboration with NYC-based choreographer Thryn Saxon. Their work has been presented at Baryshnikov Arts Center (NYC), Windhover Center for the Performing Arts (MA), Kingsland Wildflowers (Brooklyn, curated by CreateArt), RADFest (MI), Triskelion Arts (NYC), and The Moss Center (Miami, FL). She is also a resident music and movement artist at The Space Upstairs in Pittsburgh, a creative hub for interdisciplinary performance.
